Anyone interested in the YouView box's filesystem?
The YV box is pretty useless as a PVR, so I've decided to take the 500GB HDD out and replace it with one small enough to do just the OD stuff.
Anyone know what to do with encrypted Linux filesystems? This is what gparted shows:
You all know Humax takes forever to release firmware, and whether they are looking into this bug is another question...
So how about some custom script/prog to break up a recording in to less than 4GB chunks so that it can be watched on a client?
Well if they are gone, then someone or some process/program has deleted them... I am afraid the above utility in the link, AV2HDR-T2, will not work on encrypted .ts files.
The best you can hope for is to ask raydon to publish the format of the HMT and the NTS files so that we can recreate them...
I suspect that the recordings' .hmt files are corrupted. Could you post a few .hmt files belonging to these non-playable .ts recordings for us to analyse?
If my suspicion is correct, reconstructing the hmt for each .ts will fix your problem...
Ah, I think I get it now. If I build an hdf just with the squashed root filesystem in it, then it will only be that code that will change when I flash my box... leaving the other bits of code untouched..?
If Humax have updated the squashed root filesystem, then what I should do is to copy over...
Thanks for the reply. I thought so and I have been doing a bit of reading-up (starting with hacking thread)...
I just simply want to put your minirootfs together with the beta firmware and upload that to the box. What do I do? I am thinking, using humidify:
1. On your customised firmware and...
Is there a possibility of getting the encryption key by analysing the encrypted HD recording against the buffer which is not? Or having a look around in the FOXSAT-HDR ROM to find the encryption key which is unique for each box?
