When looking for a PVR I had narrowed down to a choice of two - the Hummy and 3View - because I wanted the whole networked/streaming/iPlayer/On Demand type stuff to play with. So today I randomly wondered whatever happened to 3View and had I made the right decision? I found this recent post on...
I've just found my new word for the day (thank you Martin)- I shall use it to ameliorate my growing list of words I've never heard before!! (up to now only containing 'Forenoon' - it's a new list!!)

A question was asked in This Thread about the costs of keeping the box on all day vs Standby vs Low Power mode etc, so I thought it best to do this over here as I have a feeling my bumbling mathmatical efforts are likely to be pulled to bits so here goes (and even if I am wrong at least by the...
I still haven't got round to putting 1.02.27 on yet. But now I'm worried that this is only a precursor to every time I press a button on the remote I'll get a voice wafting out of the TV saying "I don't think you want to do that Dave" (Fenlander you may be the only one of us that would like that!!)
I know we have the phone version of the webif on the iphone but I was hunting about for some info on using an old PC as a media machine for a friend of mine and stumbled across this at www.remotemouse.net - with all the talk of doing different/extra stuff with the remote, and the fact that we...
I stumbled across this during a lunchtime meander around - they claim to provide some sort of 'improved' version of Humax boxes....

I'd looked into how to get more ethernet sockets and I have googled "USB powered ethernet switch" and there are some out there - if it's spare you could power it off the Hummys USB socket?
As much as I like to prove myself right http://hummy.tv/forum/threads/hdr-fox-t2-1tb-freezing.653/#post-9508 in this case it's bitter sweet. :( When I tried to bring the box out of standby this morning it wouldn't wake up. I did the usual IT thing and went for the switch round the back and it...
I've been trying to make some space on the Hummy ready for the usual round of repeats at Christmas. I use my PC and the Move option when dragging the files from the Hummy share to the NAS folder so that saves me remembering to delete the original file when it's done.
However...sometimes...
Hello All, Since last night I just cannot log in on my iphone - I checked it this morning (when the site came back) and it works fine on a browser, IE, FF and even Safari but when I try on the (cr)apple it just puts me back on the main page not logged it. I bet it's me, it always is!!!!
I am trying to organise my recordings onto additional storage. I have a USB drive hanging off the back and a Buffalo Linkstation Live DLNA NAS drive networked and both visible from the Hummy.
When I look for files to play on the USB drive I press Media on the remote, hit blue to change...
Be careful if you ask around trying to find somewhere selling hummys in Glasgow :D

Re-Edit 01/11/11 - sorry for the confusion but the findings of this thread had exceeded the space available to write them up so there is now a page on the Wiki http://wiki.hummy.tv/wiki/Editing_HDR_Recordings summarising all the findings covered in this thread. We can continue to monitor tests...
I've got a Buffalo Linkstation dlna certified NAS on my network and is visible from the Hummy. I can access video media without any problems and also can play mp3's using the music player function, but only from one album/folder at a time.
The Hummy does show playlists as an option when you are...
