Thanks Stevieboy for your reply. At least now I know I am not alone. The problem persists with several short recordings last Saturday. I think I will return the box to Amazon while my allowed period of return is still open and come back to Humax when the software is fixed. Luckily I have a back...
In the last few days several recordings have only part recorded with just a one or a few minutes. This is a new DTR-T1000 only one month old. Should I return it and give up on Humax recorders as this is the second box which has deveoped the same problem or is there a fix?
Big THANK YOU to Black Hole. My PSU was returned today from Goldstar Computers who Black Hole suggested could repair the PSU. They have repaired it and now my previously HDR-Fox T2 is now working again. Thank you again.
I have posted power supply board to Goldstar. I have had a 'positive' phone call saying board is cracked probably because Humax has been dropped. It certainly wasn't dropped whilst with me. Maybe a good reason not to buy Grade A direct from Humax. Anyway Goldstar are going to fix board but said...

I am about to return DTR-T2000 to supplier. Is there a way to copy existing recordings from the hard drive to external USB drive or a computer? I used to be able to do this on my Fox-T2.
I have recently bought a DTR T2000 from Amazon. It is to replace a dead Fox-T2 owned for 18 months which was a Grade A Humax direct purchase. The T2000 lasted less than a month before it froze on using 4OD and I had to do a cold restart. Also randomly only plays first few minutes of recordings...
Bought direct from Humax May 2013.
Recently box was working okay.
Recently tried to use it and found it dead.
Checked fuse - okay.
Ran extension lead from another socket - still dead
Used remote with PVR button pressed - still dead.
Pressed front panel button at least 30 times - no response from...
I have a Humax Fox T2 500gb still under Humax warranty. I have an intermittent power problem. On three occasions the box has died whilst watching a recording. It appears that the power has failed. I then try switching power on and off using switch on rear of box and at the wall switch but with...
