Oops, reading the wiki, doesn't look like I can copy the SD programmes off the hard drive as I can't access the menu to be able turn content share on (unless.... I had for some reason done that originally, whoch is doubtful).
Aw well. The programmes aren't important. It more a 'let's see' thing.
CF 3.13
Will run those lines of code and see what happens.
I'm going to have a go at copying? off the one hard drive that does work! Over the network? Just to have a go.
(and if that works, and I get the others working, then I might just have to get a wifi dongle as I can't keep the ethernet...
Thanks @Black Hole that's what I thought.
Any comment on below

Hi all,
Have two old HDR Fox T2 that I've run fixdisk on. They both connect via HMDI to the TV and I get the tv channels, so thats good.
Wondering if these are just a try a new HDD or, for #1 anything else to try first? Am assuming for #2,the HDD is completely dead, unless there is some other...
Awesome!
I have at least 2 T2s that I think need new HDD so swapsy.... :) at least to see if that fixes their current problems
(will do a separate post on the fixdisk results to see what everyone thinks)
(the T2 I've just bought a 2TB HDD for is currently an hour and a half into a long test! It...
OK, tried that. Still no luck. So physical and WebIF remotes not working.
So, unless anyone has any other suggestions, I have to assume bad things in the OS, and main board as the HDMI isn't working either.
And this one is kaput.
Can I simply take the HDD out of this one and put it into a different T2. Will it reformat once turned on, or will it not know that a different HDD had been put in? It is a 1TB drive I think. Worth a shot?
I'll try that again, followed with echo 1 >/mod/boot/irmode
I just type that in the telnet window too?
Though I've tried connecting this T2 to another, older, TV via the hmdi cable already in that tv - an older-ish cable.
Still no signal. So that's not a good sign either.
And also to my...
Hmm.... 😞
Can't get the WebIF Remote to work..
Soooo..... I've changed through the modes for the WebIF remote, pressing the reboot button in the diagnostics option, and/or turning the T2 off at the back.
I've tried setting the mode on the Humax:
humax# ir CURMODE MODE
CURMODE (0x7f)
MODE...
This, I know is not the problem. All my spare remotes were in a box and they either work with a T2 or Foxsat, having tested them. Different modes for T2 and Foxsat.
I haven't used this particular T2 in a long time! And can't remember exactly why 'it stopped working'. If it was just the...
Hi All.
Ok, So I've started to play around with an old HDR-Fox T2 with the custom firmware. I'll have to try connecting it to an older TV as I can't get any signal through the HDMI port (though this port on the tv and the cable do work on another Fox T2 so.... shrug) - TV is new.
So I can't see...
I was just reading through everything quickly and saw something about removing the encryption on HD which was a nice sounding surprise, but I didn't read in-depth enough to understand. I don't have the relevant CF on my foxsats (yet!) I don't remember if encryption can be removed on HD...
Thank you so much @Black Hole
That is very reassuring.
Will go off now and see which HDD I can get and then have a play :-)
(And then make notes for my foxsats.... just in case... a kind of 'don't want to change anything as its working but realise the lifecycle of the HDD are running out...
I think my HDD in my HDR Fox T2 has given up. It has done well.
I get the message "the HDD storage must be formatted to use recording functions. Press OK to go to data storage menu"
I’ve installed CF 1.03.12_mod_3.13 and have run fixdisk but am not having any success.
(I have not installed WebIF...
Further update on the using audacity to edit
Audacity will import the 'mp3'
1. File menu > Import > Audio
2. Select "FFmpeg compatible files" as the file type filter
3. Select the file and click OK.
Need to have installed FFmpeg for Audacity.
Perhaps I had 'accidently' clicked on the FFmpeg...
