Humax hdr-fox T2 error message program not being detected

Hi Folks
The error message has appeared on Humax T2 and can only be cleared most times by recycling the power, rear power switch to off then on.

The Humax is a few years old and has given good service. If it is beyond repair any suggestions for its replacement please?
 
No Programs are currently being broadcast on this channel is the full error message. The program does come back back and play after a while.

That sounds similar to a number of other threads over the last 4 years, with some getting the message some of the time but pixelation between getting that message and a viewable channel.

If I recall correctly the thinking was that the issue appeared to be a dry joint in the processing chip/circuit associated with one of the tuners as the signal strength still showed a satisfactory value.

I don't think any one has come up with a fix.

Most reports appear to be with the prime tuner making it obvious, but there has been one report with the second tuner which would only be obvious if the Fox is needing to use both tuners at the same time.

When you get the "No programmes ..." message if you press the record button and then switch to a channel on a different mux can the newly viewed channel (on a different mux to the recording channel) be watched OK?
